Who is Taxpayers for Term Limits?
At least a couple of postcards (and I understand a TV ad), along with a display ad in the USPS Informed Delivery email claim to be paid for by a group called "Taxpayers for Term Limits". The address for the group, 5500 N. Military Trail, #20-202, in Jupiter. The "Taxpayers for Term Limits" must be tiny people because their address is a mailbox at the UPS store in the Abacoa Plaza.
There is nothing wrong with using a UPS mailbox, unless you are using it to hide something. In this case, I think Taxpayers for Term Limits has much to hide.
First, let's talk about the three people identified as identified as directors of Taxpayers for Term Limits on the Florida Secretary of State website, www.sunbiz.org. The three directors are Annie M. Delgado, Ann Vandersteel and Dick Farrel. The registered agent is Kathryn Dolbow. The non-profit was formed in February 2020.
Annie M. Delgado does not live in Jupiter. She lives in Palm Beach Gardens in a home she doesn't own. She moved here from Ocala to become part of the political scene here, it appears. I can find no evidence that she has ever lived and, therefore, paid taxes in Jupiter. Maybe she shops here?
Ann Vandersteel does not live in Jupiter. She used to live in Tequesta, but sold her house in May 2021. At the time she and her co-owner executed the deed, they were living in Las Vagas. This was two months after the filing of the non-profit's annual report with the State of Florida. I can find no evidence that she has ever lived and, therefore, paid taxes in Jupiter. Maybe she shopped here with Annie Delgado?
Dick Farrel was a local radio personality. He was a conservative radio host and well-known for his anti-vaccine stance, until he wasn't. Unfortunately, the unvaccinated Mr. Farrel contracted Covid and passed away in August 2021. Shortly before his death, he endorsed the vaccines. I can find no evidence that he ever lived and, therefore, paid taxes in Jupiter. Perhaps all three of them went on a shopping trip to the Publix next door to the UPS store?
Kathryn Dolbow was a bit of a mystery. She is close to an internet ghost, but not entirely. I will unveil Ms. Dolbow in a post later, but let's just say that she probably has an ulterior motive and a reason to be a ghost. She doesn't live in Jupiter, either. As best as I can tell, she lives in West Palm Beach and not Jupiter. Therefore, she's not a Jupiter taxpayer either. I wonder who drove when the four of them went food shopping?
According to voterrecords.com, an unofficial website that takes its info from state records, none of the three people who are still alive, and thus eligible to vote, live in Jupiter.
Then there's this question - If Taxpayers for Term Limits is so concerned about long-term politicians, where are the proposals for term limits in Jupiter? I can't even find a free blog website, such as this one, with the PAC's platform. Of course, the two living directors of this PAC don't live here, so they don't really care about Jupiter, do they? They are hiding behind this PAC so that some undisclosed special interest can dump money into the campaign and manipulate the results.
Why isn't Taxpayers for Term Limits attacking Ilan Kaufer? He has been on the council for 9 years. Doesn't that make him a career politician, too? And Mayor Todd Wodraska? He's leaving the post, but he's been an elected official for 18 years. What term limits are these out of towners proposing? None, because they don't really care. Maybe they should change the PAC name to something more truthful like "Out of towners who accept money from special interests to influence an election"?
That's all for now. But know this. There are four people behind Taxpayers for Term Limits who do not live in or pay taxes in Jupiter but are trying to influence Jupiter elections. Something smells here and it's an odor caused by one or more special interests.
