This just in - Ocala resident, Annie Marie Delgado plots to drown bikers and truckers supporting the police.
I had so many topics to write about (we'll get there. Be patient.), then this showed up.
If you can't read the route, here are the instructions. They're going to meet at the southeast corner of Indiantown and US 1, where the art gallery used to be. After the bikes are organized and the trucks are organized, and everyone gets their flags and signs (This is just a guess, but I'll bet there will be some Trump 2024 flags and F- Biden decor), they're going to head east from that location "to I-95" Anyone who is ACTUALLY FROM AROUND HERE knows that US1 and Indiantown is about as far East as you can get in Jupiter. There's only one more traffic light, then Jupiter Beach Resort, then sand, then water, then the northern tip of the Bahamas, if you're lucky. If you're not, your next stop is Western Sahara on the West coast of Africa.
I'm guessing that most of the participants will get hung up on the dunes at Jupiter Beach Resort. Some of the hardy ones might make it to the water's edge. I'll eat my hat if any of them make it to the Bahamas without a boat. Maybe they'll float over on a cooler?
The good news is that, if the water landing fails, they can head south on US1 and make it to the food stop in just a few minutes. Although, if your motorcycle has ingested sand and salt water, it may take a little longer since you'll be pushing it. And just your luck, one of the few inclines in Jupiter leads up to where the restaurant is. It's supposed to be 80 on Saturday. Stay hydrated.
Aside from being geographically challenged as to east vs. west, she's also geographically challenged because she's here in Jupiter when she owns a home in Ocala, which is also where she got married and has her business. In fact, the address for "Conservative Watch", the entity that Annie runs, is a rented mailbox in Ocala.
So, I ask again, why is a former Palm Beach Gardens councilor who lives in Ocala involved in the mayoral race in Jupiter? Who is funding her cynical concern over the election in this town, where I don't believe she has ever lived? I have a few guesses. Maybe someday we'll get answers.
The other entity she controls, Taxpayers for Term Limits, has a six figure bank account. Conservative Watch is a Florida LLC, not a Political Committee. What interest does Annie's business have in the Jupiter mayoral race? Are things really that boring in Ocala that you aim your minions at the ocean? Is Conservative Watch being paid to run this rally? Or did Annie drive down here from Marion County as a "concerned citizen" to encourage term limits.
By the way, has anyone seen any communications from TFTL to the Town of Jupiter proposing that the Town Charter be amended to provide for term limits? Anyone? Bueller? I thought not.
For the record, Jim Kuretski has never suggested in any way that Jupiter "defund" the police, whatever that means. I have had personal conversations with Jim concerning the funding of the Police Pension Plan and how pleased he was and is with its performance. The misinformation put forth by out-of-towners Conservative Watch and TFTL is harmful to Jupiter and its small town feel. It needs to be ignored.
